fancy schmancy
April 10, 2009
yay, here’s the update i actually promised XD;; going home for break usually = lots of eating out with friends, because there’s nothing else to do in the suburbs -__- but anyway, here’re pics from some ‘fancy’ restaurant, osteria di tramonto, which is in the new westin hotel they built down the road from my place a couple years ago >.> jenny and i wanted to check it out so we went for lunch because we figured it might be more low-key, even though we still debated a lot about the dress code before figuring what the heck, we left all our nice clothes at school anyway so we’re going to be juvenile delinquents and show up in jeans.
oh and also pics from the cheesecake factory <3 because it is awesome and where paul first met my crazy friends and endured an intense interrogation session. lol

jenny much enjoying her hot chocolate and whipped cream. the waiter even brought out an extra cup of whipped cream in addition to the overflow above just for her...XD

tiramisu bought to go in anticipation for paul's arrival, which also might explain the crappy presentation
conclusion: pretty nice presentation, as expected from a restaurant in the westin, but food doesn’t really live up to expectations nor the exorbitant prices. give me chipotle any day. oh, but the decor is ok and the bathrooms <no pics, sorry> are nice!

moving on to the cheesecake factory and pasta carbonara! sorry for the poor lighting, i swear they do that to hide all the dirt on the plates they are too lazy to wash properly D<

aaaand of course apple crisp/pie/crumble<?> cheesecake. with extra whipped cream lol. i do have a video of jenny chugging one whole dollop, if you are interested XD i think, on the whole, i prefer the godiva one though, hehe.
foregone conclusion: the cheesecake factory is amazing. ’nuff said.
